The Whisper Beneath the Moon: A Poem by Dr.Lal
1.
Beneath the silver gaze of night, I wandered—
a soul unclothed, seeking its forgotten thread.
2.
The moon, a patient witness, asked softly,
“Why do you search among the thorns for roses already in your heart?”
3.
I paused—between breath and silence—
and the sky trembled with understanding.
4.
Every star became a prayer unspoken,
each flicker—a confession of love.
5.
“Come,” said the wind, “forget your name,
for names are cages carved from dust.”
6.
I let go, and the horizon opened like a lover’s palm,
offering nothing—and everything.
7.
The barren tree beside me whispered,
“I bloom in absence; that is my secret.”
8.
And I learned—emptiness is not loss,
but the room where the Beloved enters.
9.
The moon smiled, ancient and kind:
“You chase shadows, yet you are the light that casts them.”
10.
Tears fell, not of sorrow, but of remembrance—
for I saw the ocean hidden within each drop.
11.
The silence grew fragrant,
perfumed with truths too delicate for words.
12.
“Love,” I said to the night, “teach me to vanish.”
“Then first,” she said, “learn to truly appear.”
13.
I became the breath between two heartbeats,
the pause between the question and the sigh.
14.
Time itself bowed, weary of chasing eternity,
and for one moment, stood still.
15.
“Do not seek heaven above,” murmured the moon,
“the divine hides in the pulse beneath your skin.”
16.
I touched my chest—and there it was:
a thousand suns rising in quiet surrender.
17.
The tree shivered with joy,
its bare arms full of invisible fruit.
18.
“Every wound,” it said, “is a window—
keep it open, let the stars look in.”
19.
The horizon began to melt with dawn,
and the moon slipped away like a promise kept.
20.
I stood alone, yet wholly accompanied—
for solitude had turned to song.
21.
Each ray of light whispered my true name,
the one too sacred for sound.
22.
Now I walk as silence walks—
carrying the echo of love through every breath.
23.
What I sought was never far—
only veiled by my own wanting.
24.
And when I bowed to the empty sky,
the universe bowed back, smiling:
“We were never two.”
