Whispers Upon the Crimson Lake: A Poem by Dr.Lal
Whispers Upon the Crimson Lake
I.
Beneath the hush of twilight’s breath,
Where rose and sapphire skies are wed,
The lake reflects, in silver sheath,
The fleeting blush of daylight’s thread.
II.
A single star begins to gleam,
Its vigil held in heaven’s dome,
While shadows dance in wistful dream,
And twilight bids the sun to roam.
III.
Oh, beauty wrought of tender fire,
When day and night in passion meet,
Thy crimson hues the heart inspire,
Like roses blooming at our feet.
IV.
The trees, like lovers, closer lean,
Their whispers soft in evening’s grace,
And in the glassy lake serene,
The mirrored world wears night’s embrace.
V.
Shall I not sing, when skies bestow
Their tears of gold on fading day?
For every spark, a lover’s vow,
Awakes within the fading ray.
VI.
The air is rich with breath of pine,
And faint with secrets yet untold,
Where time dissolves in dream divine,
And every glance turns dusk to gold.
VII.
Soft ripples kiss the silent shore,
As though to soothe the earth to rest,
While hearts that ache forevermore
Find solace in the evening’s chest.
VIII.
Come, take my hand and walk with me,
Where stars unveil their holy fires,
Where every wave and bending tree
Proclaims the tune of old desires.
IX.
The rose-lit clouds, like passion’s veil,
Sweep gently o’er the tranquil hills,
Their glow as soft as lovers pale
Who whisper where the night distills.
X.
In thee, O sky, I see the face
Of beauty born from fleeting fire,
A sovereign, crowned with twilight’s grace,
Who rules the heavens’ lone empire.
XI.
Each breath of wind a psalm doth weave,
That stirs the soul and binds the heart,
As though the world would never leave
The tender hour where dreams depart.
XII.
Oh, could I, like yon silver star,
Stay rooted in thy quiet gaze,
And shine through time’s dim veil afar,
A torch for all thy wandering days.
XIII.
The lake, a mirror of the soul,
Unfurls its bloom of crimson light,
Where love’s deep tides, beyond control,
Flow endless through the lips of night.
XIV.
I hear the murmur of the earth,
A hymn that sighs through branch and wave,
Of life’s eternal death and birth,
Of hearts that love, and hearts that crave.
XV.
The hills lie draped in shadows mild,
Their contours soft with evening’s hue,
Like mothers watching o’er the child
That sleeps beneath the fading blue.
XVI.
Yet in this stillness burns a flame,
A quiet rapture, pure, untamed,
That whispers, though it has no name,
And lights the dark with love proclaimed.
XVII.
O night, enfold thy silken wings,
And hide me where the stars are fair,
Where every dream, like music, clings
To threads of moonlight in the air.
XVIII.
No temple reared by human hand
Could rival this, thy shrine of peace,
Where heaven and earth together stand,
And mortal sorrows find release.
XIX.
The dying sun, with tender art,
Has painted love upon the skies,
A fleeting warmth to stir the heart,
Ere darkness veils it from our eyes.
XX.
Come closer, love, for here we find
A world beyond the touch of years,
Where silence speaks, and hearts aligned
Confess their truths without their fears.
XXI.
The trees that frame the crimson lake
Are witnesses to time’s own vow,
To guard the love that hearts awake,
As soft as dew on meadow’s brow.
XXII.
And see—the star ascends the night,
Its lamp a dream of purest gold,
To guide us through this tender light
Where stories of the dawn are told.
XXIII.
I know, when morning lifts its veil,
This crimson glow shall fade away,
But love, like stars, will still prevail
When night forgets the path of day.
XXIV.
Then let us linger, hand in hand,
While earth and sky in passion meet,
And write our vows upon this land—
The lake shall guard our hearts’ heartbeat.
